- 5 Ask people to opt in before collecting their email and sending it to Beehiiv

Does SocialGrow add every Instagram contact to Beehiiv?
No. SocialGrow is designed for consented email capture. A person needs to provide an email address and agree to receive your newsletter before the lead is sent to Beehiiv.
What do I need to connect Beehiiv?
You need a Beehiiv API key and your V2 Publication ID. SocialGrow tests the connection before saving it, and your API key is encrypted after connection.
What happens when someone unsubscribes?
SocialGrow records the unsubscribe state and does not silently reactivate that contact. If real-time webhook access is not available on your Beehiiv plan, the dashboard explains the limitation.
Can I use Beehiiv with a comment-to-DM lead magnet?
Yes. Create a comment keyword such as GUIDE, ask for an email with clear consent language, and use the Beehiiv integration to send the confirmed lead to your publication.
