How to create your first AutoDM

An AutoDM sends a message when someone performs a specific action on Instagram. Nothing sends until you launch the workflow.

Create an AutoDM

1. Open AutoDMs from the sidebar.
2. Choose Create AutoDM.
3. Select a trigger:
   • Comments on Post — respond when someone comments on a post or Reel.
   • Sends a DM — respond when someone sends you a message.
   • Replies to Story — respond to a story reply.
   • DMs a Post/Reel — respond when someone shares your post through a DM.
4. Select the post, Reel, or story when the trigger needs content.
5. Add keywords or choose to match every eligible message.
6. Write the message SocialGrow should send.
7. Review the workflow and choose Launch.

The workflow list shows whether an AutoDM is active, paused, or still a draft.

Choose the right content scope

For comment workflows, you can attach the automation to a specific post, any post, or your next post. Use Your next post when you want to prepare an automation before publishing new content.

Pause or edit an AutoDM

Open AutoDMs, find the workflow, and use its actions menu. You can pause an active AutoDM, edit its settings, duplicate it, or delete it.
