How to create reusable message templates

Message templates help you keep common replies in one place instead of rewriting them for every AutoDM.

Create a template

1. Open Message templates under AutoDMs.
2. Choose Create template.
3. Add a template name so you can recognize it later.
4. Write the message content.
5. Choose Create.

Use variables

Templates support these variables:

• {{username}} — the person’s Instagram username.
• {{first_name}} — the person’s first name when available.
• {{post_caption}} — the caption of the related post when available.

Write the message so it still sounds natural when a variable is empty or unavailable.

You can edit or delete a template from the same page. Saving a template does not launch an AutoDM by itself; it only makes the message available for reuse.
