How to cross-post Instagram Reels to YouTube Shorts
Connect a YouTube channel and send Instagram Reels to YouTube Shorts manually or automatically.
SocialGrow can send an Instagram Reel to a connected YouTube channel as a YouTube Short.
Connect YouTube
- Open Accounts.
- Choose Add YouTube channel.
- Complete the YouTube authorization flow.
- Open Cross-posting and select the YouTube channel for your Instagram account.
Automatically publish new Reels
In Cross-posting, turn on Auto-publish new Instagram Reels after selecting a destination channel. Reels posted after you enable the option are sent to YouTube as Shorts.
Choose the default YouTube visibility in the account settings. Automatic posts use that default.
Publish an existing Reel once
Choose Choose a Reel, select the Instagram Reel, and review its YouTube title, description, and privacy setting before sending it.
Important limitation
Some Reels that use Instagram’s music library may not provide a video file that can be shared to YouTube. In that case, use a Reel with your own original audio or upload it directly to YouTube.
You can follow the result in the Cross-posting history.
